They ran the town in their night gowns
The good vibes and cheery moods were not solely expressed by the smile on everyone's face but also the expensive linen fitted on everyone's body. The ladies of the Harlem renaissance were a breed of new and rejuvenated women with dignity, pride, and style. With their flowing dresses they tip-toe along the illuminated streets of Harlem, like delicate ballerinas prancing from party to party. The women flourished with beauty and flowed with grace; the Harlem Renaissance was a ballroom of style. The flappers had their own distinguishable style that made them especially appealing to me. Their short dresses and tight corsets illuminated their feminine body parts. PV
Laced Their Boots and buttoned their zoot Suits
Like the women the men also trended a new and more sophisticated style of dress. The most popular clothing was the famous Zoot suit: a well tailored slim sleek suit. The Zoot suits expressed each mans individualism because each suit was specifically tailored according to the mans body. The suits were sleek, dark, and elegant; they went well together with the exquisite gowns of the women. Different textiles and materials were customized in order to achieve different consumer's expectations. From head to toe the men looked fitted; their dark gleaming shoes, complimented their fedora hat, and the feather on the hat matched with the tie. The Harlem Renaissance was a revolution of self expressionism.
